Description

About this kit

Astrid RES LITE is a lightweight balsa-and-plywood RC glider designed for calm, predictable thermal flying. The structural wing uses a carbon spar and the AG35–38 airfoil; the typical ready-to-fly weight is around 400–450 g when built with lightweight covering.

This F3L / F3-RES version is a pure RES glider without motor installation, intended for thermal flying, bungee launch and relaxed soaring.

LITE vs STANDARD build

The LITE uses the same wing, fuselage pod and tail surfaces as the STANDARD Astrid RES. The main difference is the rear fuselage: the tapered carbon tail boom is replaced with a straight 10 mm unidirectional-carbon tube.

This keeps the geometry and flight characteristics the same while making the kit more affordable.

Kit includes

  • Laser-cut balsa wood elements
  • Laser-cut plywood elements
  • 3D-printed elements
  • Carbon tubes
  • Nylon wing bolts
  • Pushers
  • Control levers
  • Model building plan / instruction
  • Stickers
