Astrid E RES is a 2 m (78 in) F5L / F5-RES balsa-and-plywood RC glider kit with a carbon spar, AG35–38 airfoil and around 400–450 g flying weight. Flies as a pure RES floater or with a light electric setup.

About this kit
Astrid E RES is a lightweight balsa-and-plywood RC glider designed for calm, predictable thermal flying. The structural wing uses a carbon spar and the AG35–38 airfoil; the typical ready-to-fly weight is around 400–450 g when built with lightweight covering.
This F5L / F5-RES version can be built for light electric flying while still keeping the gentle RES-style character of the Astrid design.
The updated electric fuselage no longer uses the older aluminium motor mount. It accepts different motors up to 23 mm in diameter and is designed around a widely available 30 mm spinner.
