Description
About this kit
Astrid E LITE is a lightweight balsa-and-plywood RC glider designed for calm, predictable thermal flying. The structural wing uses a carbon spar and the AG35–38 airfoil; the typical ready-to-fly weight is around 400–450 g when built with lightweight covering.
This F5J version is prepared for a light electric setup and uses the aluminium motor mount for the Hyperflight 1806 motor with a 25 mm spinner.
LITE vs STANDARD build
The LITE uses the same wing, fuselage pod and tail surfaces as the STANDARD Astrid E. The main difference is the rear fuselage: the tapered carbon tail boom is replaced with a straight 10 mm unidirectional-carbon tube.
This keeps the geometry and flight characteristics the same while making the kit more affordable.
